HIGHLANDS COUNTY -- The Highlands County Heritage Festival was held Saturday, April 15 and Sunday, April 16 at the Edna Pearce Lockett Estate. The festival included tours of the historic home, musical entertainment, food vendors, artisan and craft vendors, historical displays, spinning and quilting displays, a fashion show featuring costumes through the Colonial Period through the 1950s and much more.
The Pearce Homestead is on the Kissimmee River where County Road 721 meets U.S. Highway 98 at the Highlands County/Okeechobee County Line.
