The Collier County Sheriff’s Office announced on Thursday that they arrested two Immokalee men for possession of child pornography and transmission of child pornography.

22-year-old Alejandro Mendoza Flores of 1315 Reflections Way Unit 1 in Jubilation and 35-year-old Genaro Francisco Francisco of 1007 Hamilton Street in Arrowhead Reserve were arrested Wednesday.

In Flores’ case, Facebook notified the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) which then contacted the CCSO.  According to the Sheriff’s Office, Flores uploaded and sent a file video via Facebook which showed a victim between the ages of 8 and 10 years old.

Upon serving a search warrant at Flores’ home, multiple cell phones were located and taken as evidence.  Flores admitted that the Facebook account was his and that he viewed and transmitted the material.

At first appearance, Flores was given a $50,000 bond for each count and he is currently in custody at the Collier County Sheriff’s Office awaiting trial in November.

In Francisco’s case, Facebook notified the NCMEC which then contacted the CCSO.  According to the report, Facebook reported that the account had been sending messages via private messenger which depicted two boys under the age of 12 engaging in sex acts.

Deputies obtained the Facebook messages in which Francisco wrote about his desire for sexual activity with children and how to obtain items from the dark web.  A search warrant was served and all of Francisco’s electronic devices were seized and placed into evidence.

At first appearance, Francisco was given a $50,000 bond and he is currently in custody at the Collier County Sheriff’s Office awaiting trial in November.

Both Flores and Francisco admitted to investigators that they had possessed and sent the images.

Once their local charges are satisfied, both men will be turned over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement under the ICE 287(g) program.
