IMMOKALEE - A man hit and killed a bicyclist at 630 Main Street before smashing his car into a home at 102 S 7th Street in Immokalee on Wednesday, May 6, according to Florida Highway Patrol (FHP).
According to FHP the 74-year-old driver ran a stop sign, hitting and killing a bicyclist.
Without stopping, the driver continued to travel south toward South 7th Street where he collided with a concrete barrier, he kept driving southeast until he slammed into a car garage.
The driver sustained minor injuries, FHP reported.
FHP is still investigating the crash. At this time they have not released the identity of the driver or the pedestrian.
