COLLIER COUNTY — On Sunday, July 4, at approximately 6 p.m., a vehicle was traveling east on Westclox Street, approaching a curve. The driver was a 24-year-old Immokalee man and the passenger was a 24-year-old woman also of Immokalee.
The vehicle failed to negotiate the curve, traveled off the roadway, collided with several trees/shrubs and overturned. The vehicle came to rest on its roof on the north shoulder. The passenger was ejected from the vehicle. She was transported to a local area hospital and later pronounced deceased.
The crash remains under investigation by Crash Investigator, Trooper G. Zimmerly and Homicide investigator, Cpl. J. Close.
