Students First - Dates to remember at CCPS

Posted

As we prepare for the last few weeks of school, Collier County Public Schools (CCPS) has a few dates on the calendar of which parents should be made aware.

Friday, May 28, is a Virtual Learning Day for CCPS students in pre-kindergarten through 11th grade. Virtual Learning Days count as part of the required days of instruction and allow CCPS to maintain the current academic calendar and not extend the school year. May 28 will be different from previous Virtual Learning Days as it is teacher-directed. Students will be assigned current work from their teachers and must access each course in Canvas (between the time period of May 27, 4:00pm thru May 31, 11:59pm) to be marked present for attendance purposes. Students may work flexibly throughout this time period.

Teachers will be available virtually on May 28 to support any needs from students and parents. Each teacher will post office hours in Canvas, and the District’s Teaching and Learning department will be available for additional support at teachingandlearning@collierschools.com.

In observance of Memorial Day, there will be no school the following Monday, May 31; and finally, the last day of school for students is Friday, June 11.

We greatly appreciate the ongoing support and cooperation of our parents as we complete what has been a rather unique, yet successful school year.
