COPELAND - The ‘Ghost Rider’ tram will resume operations in January, giving visitors two ways to see the wonders of Fakahatchee Strand Preserve State Park. Visitors to Florida’s largest state park can choose from a 10 a.m. tour twice a month or the monthly moonlit evening tour that sells out rapidly. To provide a safe experience and comply with CDC guidelines, both tours operated by The Friends of Fakahatchee will be limited to 10 guests per trip. Both tours are led by naturalists skilled in bringing the history, flora, and fauna of the park to life.

The first daytime Ghost Rider Tram Tour will be at 10 a.m to 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 7. This $25 per person tour features a stop for short walk down a cleared trail.

On the Thursday, Jan. 28, guests on the Moonlit Tram Tour can view the park under the illumination of a full moon. This tours starts at 3:30 p.m. before the sun sets – prime time for observing birds settling in for the evening. The Moonlit Tram Tour is $35 per person.

For complete details, additional dates, and required reservations for both tours, visit www.orchidswamp.org and click “Tours and Events.”
