Indiantown's Christmas parade scheduled Dec. 11

Posted

INDIANTOWN – The Thanksgiving turkeys and their trimmings have slid from view, but the celebrations are far from over for 2021. Mark your calendars for the Indiantown Chamber of Commerce’s “Christmas in Paradise” Christmas parade Saturday, Dec. 11. The parade starts at 5:45 p.m., according to the parade events page.

Entires will reflect the “Christmas in Paradise” theme and what that looks like is an individual’s prerogative. Golf carts, trucks, cars, horses, boats, bands, floats, and more are expected in festive Christmas attire. The parade route will proceed along the path of former years, beginning at Big Mound Park and ending at Post Family Park.

Missy Wilhoit, the event coordinator at the Chamber of Commerce, said, “We have juice and cookies, games, pictures with Santa and a reading of “Twas the Night Before Christmas” planned.” She added a craft table was under discussion, but she had not received confirmation yet.

According to Wilhoit, the Chamber of commerce has sponsored the Christmas parade annually since 1996. But, she laughed, adding, “They’ve been involved in all of them.”

Entries and participants are requested to line up at 4 p.m. Everyone is cordially invited to follow Santa to Post Family Park for Christmas in paradise fun.

Christmas Parade, Christmas in paradise,
