INDIANTOWN – An Indiantown man has been charged with first degree murder in connection with a March 27 stabbing.
According to the Martin County Sheriff’s Office report, on March 27, at approximately 5:15 p.m. deputies responded to a report of a stabbing at a Cherokee Drive residence.
Deputy William Brown’s report states witnesses on the scence directed officers to a bedroom inside the house. “Upon making entry, I saw a Hispanic male later identified as Pedro Mateo-Andres kneeled down over a Hispanic woman. The pair were both covered in what appeared to be blood. No weapon was visible in Pedro’s hands, and he was ordered to get off the woman.
“Pedro leaned up and raised his hands after being ordered to do so,” he continued.
The deputy stated Pedro told him “I’m messed out of my head,” and “take me to jail, no problem.”
“I then asked Pedro if he stabbed her, and he responded with, ‘I don’t know. I’m jealous’.”
Mateo-Andres was charged with first degree murder.
