Mark Stewart Powell

Mark, 60, of LaBelle, passed away on October 24, 2022. Born in Winter Haven, he was a son of the late, Franklin Powell and Jeanne (Vanes) Chowning. He was a carpenter in the construction industry. He was a loving husband, father, brother, and friend who enjoyed umpiring little league baseball, fishing, helping people, spoiling his daughter Jada, and he loved his family very much.
He is survived by his loving wife Tammy; 3 sons; Franklin “Jacob” Powell (Anni) of Chesapeake, Virginia, Gavin Powell (Stacey Smith) of LaBelle, Florida, and Dillon Powell of LaBelle, Florida. 1 daughter Jada Powell of LaBelle, Florida. 2 brothers; Ed Chowning and Christopher Chowning. 3 sisters; Gail Pelletier (Phillip), Shirley Chrissey (Bill), and Polly Anna Raulerson. He also leaves to cherish his memory, 3 wonderful grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers, Bruce Chowning and Gregory Chowning.
Funeral services for Mr. Powell were held on October 27, 2022 at Christ Central Church in LaBelle with Pastor Mitchell Wills officiating. Arrangements are being handled by: Akin-Davis Funeral Home-LaBelle
