Brian Haas Memorial Golf Tournament raises money for scholarships

Posted

LABELLE -- Bob and Norie Haas attended  this year’s golf tournament but sadly they were unable to make it to the check presentation.

However,  this year’s check, which will be deposited into the Brian Haas Criminal Justice Scholarship Charitable Trust, totaled $24,077.86.

In honor of their son Brian, Bob and Norie created the Brian Haas Criminal Justice Scholarship Charitable Trust in May 2004 to provide scholarships to Hendry County Sheriff’s Office Employees, Explorers and Volunteers who wish to further their education in the field of Criminal Justice.

While it takes several people working together to make this event the success it is every year, a special thank you went out to to HR Director Cindy West and Deputy Jerry Perez, for the countless hours they’ve put into the planning of this tournament.
