LABELLE - Anglers reported searing heat with little wind, and not many fish biting, during the 2021 Swamp Cabbage Bass Fishing Tournament.

First place winners, weighing in at 16.31 lbs, were Luke and Garrett Farmer, team “FARMERBOYZ.”

Second place, with a weight of 15.48 lbs, went to Steve Connell and Ben Wright on “TEAM US.”

With a weight of 14.72 lbs., James “BUCKWHEAT” Summerset earned third place.

Fifth place winners, Melinda and Adam Markley, team “REELMATES” weighed in with 14.41lbs.

Sixth place went to Jeff Miller and Justin Mahon, team “JUSTINMILLERTIME” with a weight of 13.87lbs. This team also won the Big Bass Award.

Seventh place went to Sellers and Sellers, aka team “SELLERS x2” with a weight of 13.52 lbs.

“Tough conditions and a stingy river, more than likely the lowest weight to win the Swamp Cabbage tournament,” said event organizer Steve Dial.
