LABELLE -- To kick off the upcoming Black Heritage Festival on May 21st at the John Alton “Kidd” Jones Park in the Fordson/Community Park, the 2nd Annual Black Heritage Princess Pageant will take place.

The pageant will be held May 14 from 5 p.m. -7 p.m. at the LaBelle High School Auditorium. All are encouraged and welcome to come and support this meaningful, yet joyful event. The pageant entry fee is $5 per person, which can be paid at the door.

Organizers are striving to build and make a positive impact with our youth by hosting a princess pageant for the festival. They are super excited about this year’s pageant.

The pageant is  offered to girls who are elementary or middle school aged. In addition to the contestants for the princess crownings of our four divisions; Little Princess, Young Princess, Junior Princess and Miss Princess, during the extended intermission we will also have the crownings of babies and toddlers; Mister Baby, Miss Baby, Mister Mini, Miss Mini and Tiny Mister and Tiny Miss.

Each princess pageant contestant has worked very hard on doing their absolute best and are eagerly looking forward to sharing who inspires them, showing their talent and modeling their evening attire.

Organizers also want to thank all of the sponsors who have accepted the call and supported the pageant again this year or first the first time.

If you would like to support somehow or become a financial sponsor, please contact any pageant committee member Kecia Gary, Augusta Ross, Jesenia Fagin or Dessie Thomas, founder and committee member at 863-885-9677.
