The annual Scarecrows on the Wharf contest, sponsored by LaBelle Downtown Revitalization Corporation (LDRC) and MOPS of LaBelle, is here.
Drive by the boat dock and the Barron Library to take a look.
This event was open to local businesses, families, organizations, schools, and youth groups. The fun competition consisted of each entrant crafting custom-made scarecrows to be displayed on the wharf near the Barron Library on DeSoto Ave.
The event will run from through Oct. 31. Scarecrows may be removed starting Oct. 31, but must be completely removed by sunset on Nov. 6.
Prizes will be awarded, after Scarecrows on the Wharf attendees vote for their favorites in the People’s Choice competition. Proceeds raised will benefit the LDRC and MOPS of LaBelle.
