LABELLE- The City of LaBelle had a record turnout of voters for this year’s Mayoral Election. Out of 2,132 registered voters, 338 or 15.85% cast their ballots by Election Day, August 17, 2021.
At 7:00 p.m. the Supervisor of Elections office closed, and the unofficial results reflected David A. Lyons, the incumbent, had received a total of 140 votes (41.54%), while his opponent, Julie C. Wilkins, had 197 votes (58.46%).
Wilkins won, and will be sworn in as Mayor of the City of LaBelle on September 9, 2021.
