LABELLE --The City of LaBelle announced construction projects on SR 80 from Lee County line to Grandma's Grove RV Resort.

Construction project: Crews will be resurfacing and widening portions of SR 80 from the Lee County line to Grandma’s Grove RV Resort. Additional work includes installing new signage and pavement markers and replacing guardrail. During construction there will be daytime and nighttime lane closures on eastbound and westbound SR 80.


Milling and Resurfacing Operations will continue. The contractor will be milling and resurfacing the mainline roadway. Daytime work, utilizing daily lane closure set ups, Mondays through Fridays. This portion of work on the project expected to take about 2 months, weather permitting.

Crews will be widening median U-Turn locations throughout the project limits. This work will be performed utilizing daily lane closures, Mondays through Fridays during daylight hours.

Please follow posted reduced speed limits within the work zone of the lane closures.
