HENDRY COUNTY — Hendry County Deputy and K9 Supervisor Nestor Echevarria came to the aid of a stranded motorist with a flat tire on Thursday, Aug. 27. Echevarria spotted the trouble along State Road 80, and stopped to change the distressed driver’s tire, in the searing heat and humidity. The heat index was more than 103 degrees.
