First Bank names new president, announces promotions

CLEWISTON — First Bank announced that Andrew Couse has been promoted to serve as President and Chief Operating Officer. Concurrent with this news, Mark Dietz has been promoted to Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in preparation of First Bank’s current Chief Financial Officer Randy Wood’s soon coming retirement. Marcel Padron has been promoted to Controller. Carey Soud will remain as Chief Executive Officer and Director on First Bank’s Board. Miller Couse will remain as Chairman of the Board.

In announcing the promotions Mr. Soud shared with the stockholders present, “Mr. Couse and Mr. Dietz are both accomplished bank professionals who will continue to serve our shareholders and customers well.”

Andrew began working at First Bank in 2005. He obtained his bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida. He graduated from the esteemed Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University (LSU) and then in 2013 completed his Master of Business Administration from Florida Gulf Coast University.

Mark began working at First Bank in 2009. He obtained his bachelor’s degree from Florida State University and graduated from the Florida School of Banking at the University of Florida.
