LABELLE -- Hendry County Sheriff's Office Deputies along with several members of the Hendry and Glades County community and special Olympic participants gathered in Labelle on April 29 for the annual Special Olympics Torch Run. The run started at American Legion Post 130 and ended at the Hendry County Sheriff's Office.
The mission of the Torch Run is to increase public awareness and generate resources for the Special Olympics movement worldwide.
The vision is to further the Special Olympics mission. Law enforcement officers carry the torch representing the "Flame of Hope."
