LABELLE --The Hendry County Sheriff’s Years of Service Award is awarded in five-year increments. Continued Service within the Hendry County Sheriff’s Office is important to the effectiveness of service.
On Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2022, Hendry County Sheriff’s Office Captain Donald Weathers, Criminal Investigation Division (CID), presented Detective Joaquin Mateu with his 15 Years of Service Award.
Detective Mateu began his career with HCSO as a Correction Officer, then transferred to the Law Enforcement Division where he was assigned to Court Security before transferring to CID.
