LABELLE -- Hendry County Sheriff Steve Whidden swore in two recent Southwest Florida Public Service Academy graduates on June 6.
Ashley Whigham has been employed with the Hendry County Sheriff’s Office since January 2019. She is also a certified Telecommunications Operator (Dispatcher). Ashley has always expressed an interest in Corrections and on Monday, June 6, 2022, she was sworn in by Sheriff Steve Whidden as a Hendry County Corrections Officer.
Amanda Nelson also graduated from the Southwest Florida Public Service Academy in the field of Corrections. Amanda began her job as a Jail Technician in September 2021. She later expressed an interest in Corrections and successfully graduated and is now a Certified Corrections Officer.
