HCSO welcomes four new employees

LABELLE -- On Monday, Aug. 1, Hendry County Sheriff Steve Whidden swore in four new employees. All four were recent graduates of the SW Florida Public Service Academy Class #165 in Ft Myers on July 19.

Deputy Hernan Ramirez Garcia is a graduate of LaBelle High School. Hernan served four years in the United States Marine Corps. While attending the SW Florida Public Service Academy he was a member of the Color Guard. Hernan is currently assigned to the Sheriff’s Office Road Patrol unit.
 
Deputy Larry Rodriguez was born in Queens, New York. His family moved to Broward County when he was 6-years-old. Larry attended Clewiston High School his junior year then transferred to LaBelle High School for his senior year and graduated with honors. Larry went to three different colleges on a full baseball scholarship earning an Associate's Degree in Liberal Arts. Larry is currently assigned to the Sheriff’s Office Road Patrol unit.
 
Deputy Dayana Calvo Driggs is originally from Miami and moved to Clewiston in 2012. Dayana is a graduate of Clewiston High School. She attended Keiser University earning an Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice. Before coming to the HCSO she was a teen counselor for the Boys and Girls Club of America on the Brighton Seminole Indian Reservation. Dayana is currently assigned to the Sheriff’s Office Road Patrol unit.
 
Deputy Isabel Rodriguez attended Clewiston High School and was in the Public Safety Academy for four years. She graduated with her E911 telecommunications certification from the program. Isabel worked in telecommunications at the Glades County Sheriff’s Office and the Clewiston Police Department before coming to the HCSO. Isabel is currently assigned to the Sheriff’s Office Road Patrol unit.
