Helen Reams-Goodman

Helen, 90, passed away on March 11, 2023, in Lakeport, Florida. She was born November 29, 1932, in Greenville, Florida.
Helen was known for her dedication to a strong work ethic. She worked as a hostess at the Diplomat Hotel in Hollywood for 24 years. She also owned and operated the Twin Palms Resort on Lake Okeechobee for 42 years; along with her son Cliff. She made numerous friends during the years. Many of those friends she included as part of her close family. It was common to arrive at Twin Palms and find her friends preparing a cookout get together for everyone. They always welcomed anyone stopping by, as there was always an abundance of food.
Survivors include one daughter, Betty Harcrow of Sebring, FL; one son, Cliff Goodman of Lake Port, FL; two grandchildren, Ernie Aguado, (his wife, Rena Ferrara) of Sebring, FL and Auswin Strath of St. Petersburg, FL; four great-grandchildren, Ernie Aguado of Sebring, FL, Presley, Layla and Lola Strath of St. Petersburg, FL; two sisters, Margaret Dement of Crawfordville and Gail Eppler of Monticello, FL; one brother, William (Speedy) Reams of Pelham, GA; and her best friend, Michael DuBose.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Floyd and Alice Ammons-Reams; husband, Dorman Goodman; son, Floyd Goodman; sisters, Betty Ruth Smith and Faye Greene; brothers, Norman Reams and Buddy Reams.
A “Celebration of Life” for Helen will be announced later.
