Hendry County's contractor performs striping and pavement marking services for various roads

LABELLE — Beginning Sunday, Aug. 22, Hendry County’s contractor, AKCA, LLC, will be conducting striping and pavement marking services for various roads in Hendry County. Roads will include E Cowboy Way from Bridge Street eastward to SR 80, Fort Denaud Road from SR 80 westward to Huggetts Road, CR 833 from Powerline Grade to CR 832, and various roads within the Sky Valley Municipal Service Benefit Unit (MSBU).

Attenuator trucks will be used to alert and direct traffic. The speed limit will be reduced through the project areas.

Motorists should expect possible delays throughout the duration of the project and allow extra time for their commute.

Motorists and pedestrians should use extra caution when traveling through the work zones.

The project is expected to have a completion time of approximately 45 to 60 days.

Operations will occur during night hours, 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
