Human Trafficking seminar offered by HCSO

LABELLE - The Hendry County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) has organized a seminar titled “In Plain Sight: Human Trafficking, what it is, what it isn’t!” to increase awareness and inform the community about the crime of Human Trafficking.

The seminar’s presenter Sgt. Wanda Hainley, of the Hendry County Sheriff’s Office, will cover topics such as how to recognize the signs of human trafficking, how to protect your children from online predators, what sextortion is and how to avoid becoming a victim, and how you can save a life and help your neighborhood.

The free seminar will be held on March 9, at 6:00 p.m. in the LaBelle Community Women’s Club on 382 W. Hickpochee Ave. in LaBelle.
