LABELLE - On August 3, two of Rotary’s finest were honored with the prestigious “The Rotary Foundation, Major Donor, Level II Award.” The Trustees of The Rotary Foundation, LaBelle Rotary President Bryan Beer, and Rotary’s Foundation Chairman Richard Yoraschek honored Fred and Holly Kobie with a Major Donor crystal award and a diamond pin for their ongoing financial contributions to The Rotary Foundation.

The Kobies are dedicated Rotarians who have consistently made substantial contributions toward the goal of international understanding and peace initiatives. They support and honor the humanitarian and educational programs of The Rotary Foundation and make a difference in the lives of others. The Kobies exemplify unselfish giving in order to help those less fortunate. They are helping to change the lives of children, young people, and adults through a legacy of hope.

Their contributions allow The Rotary Foundation to fund an array of programs throughout the globe that include: eradicating Polio, improving living conditions for needy families; increasing food production and clean water programs; providing equipment and educational materials for schools; allay the suffering of the sick and disabled by providing immunization, medical treatment and rehabilitation; and, they provide new channels for international understanding and brighter hopes for peace through education and Rotary World Peace Fellows.

The Rotary Club of LaBelle is proud to join The Rotary Foundation in honoring Fred and Holly Kobie with the Major Donor Award. The Kobies' dedication to Rotary spans four generations.
