LaBelle Fire chief announces retirement

LABELLE - After 29 years of service, Chief Josh Rimes has announced he will be retiring from the LaBelle Fire Department.

Chief Rimes introduced the new Fire Chief, Micah Mungillo during the LaBelle City Commission meeting on Thursday, Feb. 11.

“Thank you Chief Joshua Lee Rimes for your dedication and loyalty to LaBelle Fire Department. The shoes you leave to fill will almost be an impossible task. I am very excited and honored to accept the position as Chief and I will continue to lead this department with experience and love as you did,” said Mungillo.

Chief Mungillo will take over running the LaBelle Fire Department on May 1, 2021.
