LaBelle's Civic Center was Rockin’ & Rollin’

LABELLE - Saturday night the LaBelle Civic Center was transformed into Rydell High, and “GREASE” was the Word! The movie theme came alive with Sandy, Danny, and the whole gang attending! An open bar and a great steak dinner started off the evening, and immediately following dinner the fun began!! The 50/50 drawing presented its winner with over $1,000 in cash, and another $6,000 was awarded during the “Big Cash Give Away.”

Gift baskets by the dozens were raffled off, as was a beautiful painting done by local artist, Tracy Langford, a firearm donated by 3Z Enterprises, a freezer donated by Badcock Furniture & More, a Yeti Cooler with accessories donate by Gulf Citrus Port-a-Lets and a Sthil Lawncare Package donated by A Action Power Equipment.

The LaBelle Chamber of Commerce extends its deepest thanks and appreciation to the Hendry County Cattlemen’s Association, the LaBelle Masonic Lodge, the City of LaBelle, the Hendry County Sheriff’s Dept., Mary Bartoshuk, Bryanna Wegscheid, Margie Stephens, Jerri Awbrey, Dan & Kathy Shoaf, Phil Pelletier, K & M Drugs, D R Horton, SunCoast Credit Union, US Suga, Randy’s Garage, Airglades Airpor, First Bank, CenterState Bank, BackBurner Marketing and all the business and friends of the Chamber who donated raffle items. Last, but not least, a special thanks goes to all the attendees who took part in this year’s fun.

The chamber each year holds it “Give Away Dinner” as a fundraiser to keep the chamber’s doors open. Pulling off this annual event is a huge undertaking, but the Chamber Board of Directors, and its Executive Director, work hard to make it a success. Next year’s event is already being planned, so during the year be sure to look for clues as to its theme. It should be a real killer!!!
