LHS baseball team 2-0 after pre-season

Posted

LABELLE -- The LaBelle High School Cowboys Baseball Team are 2-0 after their games last week. They beat Glades Day and Immokalee here at LaBelle.

The Glades Day was a team effort with contributions from the entire squad. It was a great way to start the season with everyone seeing some playing time and being able to get ready for the upcoming season.

The Immokalee game provided a little more drama and was also a great preparation for the team as they begin the season. Facing a very good Immokalee pitcher the Cowboys were down 4-3. The Cowboys loaded the bases and gave Christian Genera the opportunity to hit a grand slam home run to put the Cowboys ahead. The Cowboy Pitchers, Christian Parrish, Beau Collier, and Ben Collier proved to be ready for the season as they held Immokalee to 5 hits.

As with every win its a team effort and both games show the boys are ready through out the roster for the upcoming season.

The Cowboys first home game will be Tuesday 3/1 against Lake Placid.
