New app helps Hendry students stay healthy

Posted

HENDRY COUNTY --  Always working to improve their services, Hendry Sodexo (food service provider for the Hendry County School District) has introduced a new, user friendly mobile app for parents and students to check in on menu options, and receive tips about staying healthy.

Not only can parents and students use the SoHappy app to see menu options, they also have access to the nutritional and allergen information, too.

Thee SoHappy app allows users to track their steps. Even showing you how many steps students from their entire school have contributed. The app also provides suggested activities on how to burn off your calories.

“So far, it’s been great!” said one parent of a LaBelle Middle School student. “We look at it each morning before she loads onto her bus.”

“I usually don’t like to use apps like this. But this one is super easy and fast,” said a Clewiston High School student. “My mom loves checking in and seeing what’s for lunch.”

For more information on how to download the app to your mobile device, visit this link: http://sohappy.sodexo.com/
