CLEWISTON – Law enforcement officials are asking for the public’s help with information about a fatal accident that took the life of a pedestrian around 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 6.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol report, a 51-year-old Clewiston man was driving a Nissan Maxima on North Quebrada Avenue, south of Del Sur Avenue. The pedestrian, a 68-year-old Clewiston woman, was in the area of North Quebrada Avenue, the report states.
The vehicle collided with the pedestrian. The pedestrian came to final rest on the west shoulder of North Quebrada Avenue. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
If anyone witnessed this crash, please contact the Florida Highway Patrol 239-938-1800. The crash remains under investigation.
