Port LaBelle Utility System to intermittently shut water off in Country Village Subdivision

Fire Hydrants to be replaced

LABELLE — Port LaBelle Utility System will be shutting off water for a planned fire hydrant exchange. Hendry County’s contractor Strickler Bros. Underground Inc. will be replacing fire hydrants throughout the Country Village subdivision. The water will be off from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for a total of three hours per day.
• Monday, Sept. 13
• Tuesday, Sept. 14

• Wednesday, Sept. 15

Residents will also be under a precautionary boil water notice starting Monday, Sept. 13. The Port LaBelle Utility System will notify all customers when the precautionary boil water notice has been lifted.

The interruptions will also affect the Florida Southwestern State College campus in LaBelle.
