Semi driver dies in single vehicle crash in Glades County

GLADES COUNTY – A 55-year-old Cape Coral Man died in a single vehicle crash in Glades County Wednesday morning according to the Florida Highway Patrol report.

The accident occurred at 7:53 a.m. on April 5.

According to the FHP report a  semi truck and trailer was traveling east on County Road 74, approaching State Road 29 when the driver lost control of the vehicle. The semi overturned onto the northbound lane of State Road 29, causing the trailer portion to become detached. The semi and trailer came to rest on the east side grass shoulder. The driver was pronounced deceased on scene. The crash remains under investigation.
