LABELLE -- Steven Nisbet Sr. is the 2022 Swamp Cabbage Festival Grand Marshal.
Nisbet has been a valuable member of the LaBelle community for more than 25 years. Since purchasing his first three McDonald's Restaurants in and near the LaBelle area in 1996, he has been seated on non-profit boards such as the Hendry Regional Medical Center and Hospital Foundation, the Ronald McDonald Charities, and the LaBelle and Clewiston chambers. He has also been a member of the Rotary, Habitat for Humanity, Elks Club, and the Republican Party State Committee, as well as other community groups.
His company has contributed to many LaBelle-based non-profits, including (but not limited to) local youth sports organizations, Firehouse Community Theatre, 4-H, school organizations, Hendry County Sheriff's Office Shop with a Cop, Leaderships Hendry/Glades, meals, local car shows, vacation bible schools, and the Swamp Cabbage Festival.
In recognition of his outstanding dedication to this community, the Swamp Cabbage Festival Committee is honored to have him part of the 2022 Festival as the grand marshal.
