She said the Southwest Florida Relief Fund has raised almost $4 million for hurricane victims.
Some programs supported by United Way include:
“We raise funds for a lot of our partner agencies,” said Sands. There are 22 partner agencies in Hendry County, who provide 37 programs in the county. The school district is a United Way partner through employee contributions. Last year, Hendry County School employees donated $8,104 to United Way.
United Way’s goal this year is to raise $354,370 for those 37 programs.
United Way plans to offer more programs in Clewiston in the coming year.
