Waste transfer station to close after Nov. 4

HENDRY COUNTY -- The transfer stations in Hendry County will offer free disposal of household trash and food waste by Hendry County residents until Friday, Nov. 4.

Transfer stations will be open at 1350 Olympia Ave. in Clewiston and 1280 Forestry Division Road in LaBelle, from  7 a.m. to 4 p.m. until Friday, Nov. 4.

Residents will be asked to provide a valid driver's license to ensure they reside in Hendry County.  There is a limit of 2 cubic yards of trash per person per day.

Transfer stations will NOT accept constructoin debris, demolition debris, horticulture, household hazardous waste, commercial debris or tires.
