West Palm Beach woman killed in single-vehicle accident

LABELLE -- The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) has reported a fatal single-vehicle accident on an unnamed dirt road west of Collins Slough Road in Hendry County on May 10.

According to the FHP report, at 6:42 a.m. on Tuesday, May 10, a 53-year-old West Palm Beach woman was killed when the pickup truck she was driving westbound on a dirt road west of Collins Slough Road, traveled off the roadway to the right, entered a water-filled canal and overturned. She was pronounced deceased on the scene.  The report stated that the seatbelt was not in use.

The crash is under investigation.
