The Alzheimer’s Association Brain Bus will begin its tour of Southwest Florida this weekend, making stops in Sarasota, Lehigh Acres, Immokalee and Naples. Unique to Florida, the Brain Bus program is an outreach initiative involving two vehicles that crisscross the state providing dementia education and resources to underserved communities. Brain Bus programming is also available 24/7 online at alzprogramsanytime.org. Starting Saturday, the Brain Bus van will be making the following stops:

Lehigh Senior Center, 219 Plaza Drive, Lehigh Acres
• 10 a.m. – “10 Warning Signs of Alzheimer’s” program
9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 26, 2022
9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 27, 2022

Department of Elder Affairs Secretary Michelle Branham will also join this discussion about what is being done on the state and federal levels regarding the need for equity and diversity in clinical trials.
• Latinos & Alzheimer’s Symposium, April 25-26, 2022.
