Dear Past and Future Participants and Entrants: The Immokalee Christmas around the World Committee and the Collier County Parks & Recreation Department will be hosting its’ Annual Christmas Parade and Gala on Saturday, December 08, 2018 at 5:30 p.m. The Parade and Gala Events occur in the evening and dress is festive - casual to fit the occasion (and weather). At the Christmas committees meetings, the committee decided to have a parade line up of Clubs of various kind , Organizations, Public Officers and all Schools in Immokalee not to limit other areas. We are trying to have the Best Entertainment found in Immokalee and surrounding area with a well known country band. We want you on our Entertainment Schedule on December 08, 2018 immediately after the parade is over. Please call or email the contact below for your RSVP spot on the Entertainment Schedule. Christmas around the World is a Community sponsored Event. Activities include a lighted night parade followed by a Christmas Gala at our community swimming pool with lots of food, games, music, machine-produced snow, our own Immokalee Talent contestants with a well known Country Band and lots of other entertainment. The highlight of the Christmas Gala is the Grand Finale that features the arrival of Santa Claus, via helicopter, courtesy of the Collier County Medical Helicopter..The Seminole Casino Hotel Immokalee will provide a free book to every child who takes a photo with Santa during the Gala Celebration. The parade will again feature a float competition, If you prefer a pre-packaged float, please go online to www.Festive Floats.com for details regarding a ready-made float with costs (separate from sponsorship) and availability. The parade staging area has changed. The Parade line-up will starts at 5:30 p.m. with a mandatory line-up time of 4:00 p.m. The New location for the parade is 212 Jerome Drive (Nobles-Collier Packing House), From Jerome Street to State Rd #29, the parade will continue on a path that leads to 9th and Main Street, making a right hand turn proceeding to Immokalee Drive to the Immokalee High School’s football field parking lot on the right hand side of the street.. While unloading all floats, parents must pick up their children at the High School football field only. The Gala will start immediately thereafter at the Immokalee Soccer Field located @ 505 Escambia Drive, directly across from Immokalee High School. Immokalee’s Parks & Recreation is offering FREE Admission to enter all the entrance gates to the Snow Gala Event to everyone! We want you to participate in our Parade and Gala. Partial proceeds from this Parade & Gala will go towards two scholarships per year to deserving Immokalee High School Seniors who plan to advance through higher education.
