Here are Tuesday’s primay election results for the Collier County races. Collier County clerk of courts: Crystal Kinzel defeated challenger Don Berry to retain the clerk’s post she was appointed to two months ago. Ms. Kinzel received 36,911 votes to Mr. Berry’s 21,789. Collier County Commission, District 4, Republican primary: Penny Taylor defeated Stephen Jaron (REP) with 5,053 votes, compared to Mr. Jaron’s 3,248 votes. Collier County Commission, District 2, universal primary: Andy Solis (Republican) defeated Brad Schiffer (Republican) with 8,629 votes, compared to Mr. Schiffer’s 6,706 votes. Collier County School Board, District 3, nonpartisan: Jen Mitchell won the seat over Kathy Ryan with 31,020 votes, compared to Ms. Ryan’s 25,619 votes. Collier County School Board, District 5, nonpartisan: Roy M. Terry defeated challengers Darlene Alvarez and Mary Ellen Cash with 30,347 votes, compared to Ms. Cash’s 15,525 and Ms. Alvarez’s 12,121. Circuit Judge, 20th Judicial Circuit, Group 8, nonpartisan: John Owen McGowan received 32,391 votes and James Wesley Chandler received 21,959 votes. (The circuit covers multiple counties.) Collier County Judge, Group 2, nonpartisan: Blake Adams and James Moon will meet in a runoff election on Election Day in November. The Immokalee Fire Fee did not pass, with 1,225 No votes compared to 613 Yes votes. The North Collier Fire Fee also failed: No with 22,427 votes, compared to 5,851 Yes votes. The Marco Island EMS measure did not pass, with 3,015 No votes compared to 2,575 Yes votes. With all 59 precincts reporting, 70,202 ballots were cast.
