Collier County UF/IFAS Extension Hosts ‘Gifts from the Garden’

Start planning for the holiday season with the UF/IFAS Extension Collier County team as they present the ‘Gifts from the Garden’ workshop from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Saturday, November 10, at the Pioneer Museum at Robert’s Ranch, 1215 Roberts Avenue, Immokalee, Florida 34143.
This workshop will teach participants how to make homemade gifts using fresh ingredients and materials from their home garden and local farms.
Project demonstrations include making soap, jams, meat salt-rubs, hot pepper honey, native-plant bouquets for your dinner table, and ways to use reuse items around the house for wrapping paper.
This two-hour event will be hands on with samples to take home. Participants can enjoy the grounds of the Pioneer Museum and Robert’s Ranch.
