Grand opening of the new Fire Control District Headquarters and Fire Station 32

NAPLES — Ave Maria Development and Immokalee Fire Control District announce the grand opening of the new Fire Control District Headquarters and Fire Station 32. The public is invited to tour the new 22,000 square foot station that serves the Ave Maria community and the southern areas of the Immokalee Fire Control District on June 10, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. in the Ave Maria Park of Commerce.

“The new headquarters is a tremendous asset to the community,” shared Michael J. Choate, District Manager and Fire Chief of Immokalee Fire Control District. It houses three to four firefighters and two ambulance personnel, a Paramedic and EMT provided by Collier County EMS 24 hours a day, seven days a week. In addition, the Fire Station can accommodate up to 14 personnel, or more, During times like hurricanes. The first floor of headquarters includes sheriff deputies and an Alternate Reporting Unit (ARU) member, as well as Fire Prevention Staff, and a meeting/training room. The second floor accommodates the fire chief, deputy chief, administration chief, CFO, and administrative personnel. The station is the first new facility in the Immokalee Fire Control District since its inception in 1953.
