Volunteers from Mission Love Seeds and Generous Hearts Ministry teamed up with members of the Collier County Sheriff’s Office and Bill’s Towing to bring Christmas to hundreds of students at Pinecrest Elementary School in Immokalee. Based in Destin, Florida, Mission Love Seeds volunteers have worked hard since Hurricane Irma made landfall to collect toys and non-perishable foods for those living below the poverty line in Immokalee. Many families in Immokalee struggle throughout the year. For most of those families, Christmas presents are not a priority. When Mission Love Seeds organizers heard about the devastating impact that Hurricane Irma had on the farming community, they started gathering donations to help make Christmas possible for as many children in Immokalee as possible. On Monday, December 18, deputies and volunteers helped assemble 200 Huffy bicycles which were given away on Tuesday to students at the school.

For their continued effort, the volunteer group relies on financial donations and contributions. For more information, visit http://www.missionloveseeds.org/donate.php.
