Ladies for Liberty to perform

Lake Okeechobee News will present two free shows in a salute to veterans in the region featuring Ladies for Liberty, a patriotic singing troupe. The USO style performance features the style of the Andrews Sisters with a spirt of patriotism reminiscent of the 1940’s. From song selection to their costumes and hairstyles, the ladies celebrate the era as well as honor all veterans of the United States Military, past and present.

LaBelle residents and visitors are invited to bring a lawn chair to their noon hour show on Thursday, March 12 at Barron Park, 1559 De Soto Ave in LaBelle overlooking the Caloosahatchee River.

On Friday, March 13 the Ladies for Liberty will perform at 7 p.m. at the Okeechobee KOA, 4276 U.S. Highway 441 South. Doors open at 6:15. Offsite parking with shuttle is available at Winn-Dixie. Limited handicap accessible parking available at KOA. Both shows are free of charge to the public and veterans are especially invited to attend.

The shows are presented courtesy of Lake Okeechobee News, Caloosa Belle, Okeechobee KOA and area businesses and organizations.

The ladies performed in the region in February 2019 to overwhelming accolades.

“We had such an overwhelming response last year, of course we wanted to invite them back for more,” says newspaper advertising manager Jaime Limoges. “We are grateful to our local sponsors so that we can offer these performances free of charge to honor military veterans and entertain the community.”
