Posted

PAHOKEE — Each year, U.S. News ranks approximately 18,000 public high schools according to their graduation rates and college readiness data. Schools holding the top spots in the rankings are those where students excelled and performed beyond expectations on state assessments; participated in and received qualifying scores on college-level assessments; and graduated at high proportions.

Pahokee Middle High School is exceeding beyond expectations.

In 2019, the graduation rate increased to 95.7% and in 2020, the graduation rate increased to 98.3%. Twenty students have received their IB diplomas in 2 years.
Pahokee Middle High School also has the notable honor of producing a nationally recognized robotics program and is the recipient of the Amazon Future Engineering School award.

In 2021, noteworthy awards include the Palm Beach Illustrated Institution of Excellence, Great Schools Gold Award Finalist, College Board Female Diversity Award, PBIS Model School, USAF Outstanding Organization Award, AFJROTC Organizational Award Winner. Students have individually received the JRPTC Cadet of the Year, PBC Medical Student of the Year, and Take Stock in Children Scholar Award Recipient. All of the honors and awards are collective efforts of stakeholders and supporters.

With ongoing encouragement, Pahokee Middle High School will continue to develop the future of global leadership and innovation.
