With school being out until April 15, Collier County Public Schools (CCPS) is committed to supporting children and families in continuous learning. CCPS began its transition to virtual/online continuous learning for students this week (March 23-27). Information related to this week’s activities, as well as any future updates, may be found on the CCPS Continuous Learning website (www.collierschools.com/elearns).
Starting on Monday, March 30, students will use the Canvas Learning Management System (LMS) to participate in teacher-led virtual instruction (http://canvas.collierschools.com). This instruction will be conducted by your child’s teacher(s).
It is important to note that online instruction allows for flexibility in scheduling your child’s computer time so that multiple children may use one device in a home. If you have a District-issued laptop and have questions or technical issues, please send an email to studentlaptop@collierschools.com.
Teachers are very much looking forward to interacting with their students using online instruction! Further information with detailed instructions will be provided in an update by March 27 and will be available on our Continuous Learning website at www.collierschools.com/elearns. It will be important for students to access Canvas each day beginning March 30.
For questions related to Canvas, parents may email canvas@collierschools.com. General questions related to CCPS e-Learns may be sent to eLearns@collierschools.com.
We ask that all parents take a moment to visit the CCPS Portal (www.collierschools.com/portal) to make sure their contact information is correct to ensure they receive important information. We will continue to utilize all of our communication channels for updates throughout this situation.
Thank you for your continued patience and flexibility while we navigate uncharted territory during these challenging times.
