Thanksgiving is a time to reflect on our blessings and remember all the wonderful times we have shared as a #CCPSFamily. This year, I asked our local Immokalee principals to share one thing for which they are thankful.
Mark Frehe, Eden Park Elementary: “I am thankful for the opportunity to lead a wonderful staff in our efforts to support student growth towards meeting their full potential.”
Margaux Horne, Highlands Elementary: “I am thankful for our students, staff, and families embracing and living the 7 Habits each day. We witness students developing win-win relationships with each other, synergizing academically, and seeking understanding when disagreements arise. Staff work on developing proactive habits for themselves and their students. Instructional and non-instructional staff show compassion for each other and their students. Our families support our efforts by attending conferences, getting students to school on time, helping to complete homework, and attending school-wide functions. Enjoy this time with family and friends and know how thankful I am for each and every one of you!”
Joy Alvarez, Lake Trafford Elementary: “I am so thankful and honored to serve the amazing students, parents, staff, and community of Lake Trafford Elementary.”
Susan Jordan, Pinecrest Elementary: “I am thankful to work alongside 122 adults that strive every day to impact the lives of 741 students from 8 different countries that speak 10 different languages. There truly is nothing more incredible than being important in the life of a child. To do this every day with the best students anyone could every ask for is a gift that I am truly thankful for.”
Bev Budzynski, Village Oaks Elementary: “I am grateful for ALL of the students, staff, families, and community members from Village Oaks. The support, dedication, and commitment from ALL stakeholders is truly admirable.”
Ryan Nemeth, Immokalee Middle: “At IMS, we are thankful for a community that is willing to do whatever is needed to support student achievement and development at our school.”
Clara Calderon, Immokalee High: “As principal of Immokalee High School, I am thankful for the dedicated teachers, staff, administrators, parents, and community members that continue to work together as a team to ensure our students receive the best education. I am truly grateful to have been given the opportunity to call Immokalee High School and the community ‘My Home.’”
Happy Thanksgiving…from our #CCPSFamily to yours!
