$15,000 check presented to American Legion Post #64

OKEECHOBEE — The American Legion Auxiliary of the American Legion Memorial Post #64 are grateful for their Legion family. At the Tuesday meeting, Dec. 8, the American Legion Auxiliary Unit #64 presented Post Commander Larry Richardson and the legionnaires with a check for $15,000 to help with all the veterans charities they are involved with and the day to day expenses they incur. Auxiliary President Mary Lou Smith said, “We always want to support our veterans and our post, but in these trying times it is even more important to show unity.”
