Posted

OKEECHOBEE -- A free testing site for the COVID-19 virus will be open beginning Thursday, Sept. 2, 2021, at the Okeechobee County Agri-Civic Center, 4601 SR 710.

The site will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Adults and children needing a COVID-19 test should enter the Agri-Civic center through the SR 710 gate and follow the signs on site.

This testing site is being operated by Curative and will be providing the PCR test results within 24-48 hours from receipt of the sample at the lab. Appointments are recommended. A link to schedule appointments will be available as the site opens to the public.

Okeechobee County reminds residents that Raulerson Hospital is not an open testing or vaccination
location.

Okeechobee County is working jointly with many community partners to ensure the Okeechobee community has free and easy access to testing and vaccinations for the COVID-19 virus. The public is encouraged to take advantage of these testing and vaccination locations.

Information about those locations is updated as needed on the Okeechobee County Government Facebook page and at www.co.okeechobee.fl.us.
