OKEECHOBEE — The American Legion will host the Spreading Sunshine Pageants. All funds made will be placed in a scholarship fund account to be awarded at the inaugural Spreading Sunshine State Pageant. This scholarship will be awarded to one high school student in the ninth through 12 grade via application and interview. Deadline to enter is June 11 by 8 p.m. Parent and contestant meeting to be held Monday, June 14 at 6 p.m. at the American Legion located at 501 S.E. Second St. in Okeechobee. The pageant will be held on Saturday, June 19 at 2 p.m. at the American Legion.
Categories include:
• Baby Mr/Miss 0-23 months old
• Toddler Mr/Miss 2-3 years old
Additional categories: Best personality, best dress and photogenic.
