Annual Cowtown Rodeo returns to Okeechobee

Posted

OKEECHOBEE- The Okeechobee County Cattlemen's Association is proud to host the 71st Annual Cowtown Rodeo on Saturday and Sunday, March 12 and 13, presented by South Florida Chevy Dealers.

Guests will witness Florida heritage on display as world-class circuit cowboys compete in Okeechobee's historic grandstand arena at 1885 US Highway 441 North, Okeechobee, Florida 34972.

While most professional rodeos are taking place in indoor, covered arenas across the U.S., this venue is filled with unique historic charm. The open-air facility will transport you back in time for a family experience like no other.

The Cattlemen's Association will be kicking off the rodeo weekend with their annual cattle drive through Downtown Park Street on Saturday, March 12th starting at 10:00 a.m. Gates at the historic arena open for rodeo fans on both Saturday and Sunday at 12:00 noon, with events starting promptly at 2:00 p.m. This year’s rodeo will have events from bull and saddle bronc riding, barrel racing, team roping, and more! The Okeechobee County Cattlemen's Association is also proud to bring back this year's specialty act, The notorious One Arm Bandit and Company.

This event serves as an annual fundraiser for the Okeechobee County Cattlemen’s Association as they strive to support local youth in agriculture by providing scholarships and unique educational opportunities.

Advanced tickets for the 71st Annual Cowtown Rodeo may be purchased online by visiting their Facebook and Instagram pages, at Eli's Western Wear in Okeechobee, or at the door.
